Take the San Juan Islands Pledge

Why Take The San Juan Islands Pledge?

The San Juan Islands, while a cherished Northwest destination, have delicate ecosystems with limited space for all who live here. The San Juan Islands Pledge is simple: when you act as an ecologically and socially responsible visitor you are actively contributing to the future of the San Juans. So by taking the pledge, you help our small islands in a big way. By committing to be a responsible visitor, you can help ensure that the San Juans remain a beautiful and unique place to live, work, and play for generations to come.

Let us acknowledge that we reside on the ancestral lands and waters of the Coast Salish people who have called this place home since time immemorial and let us honor inherent, aboriginal, and treaty rights that have been passed down from generation to generation.
