Fall is a time to Savor the San Juans

Savor the San Juans is a fall celebration of food, farms, and films. With fewer crowds and mild temperatures, fall is the perfect time to visit the Islands and enjoy farm-to-table dinners, local wine and cider tastings, brew fests, farmers markets, film festivals, and more! Find events and seasonal specials here.

Every Saturday, farmers markets are bursting with the season's harvest. You can also find these foods at local restaurants. Chefs handpick the freshest produce, seafood, meats, and more for their fall menus, wine dinners, and special events throughout the season. Local shops and tasting rooms are open, with tours and tastes of wine, beer, spirits, cider, preserves, baked goods, and other artisan-crafted island delicacies.

Fall in the San Juan Islands brings mild temperatures with some sunny days, crisp air, and beautiful autumn colors. Average daily temperatures are around 66°F in September, 58°F in October, and 50°F in November, making autumn a comfortable season for exploring the islands. Weather conditions can change throughout the day, so it's a good idea to dress in layers and bring a rain jacket, even when the forecast calls for sunshine.
