The San Juan Islands Museum of Art's three Fall Exhibits pay tribute to the world above and below.
"Kelp! Reverberations" – Works by Josie Iselin, Betsy Peabody, Ken Pearce, and Jonathan Kawchuk invite visitors into a kelp forest created by cyanotypes, soundscapes, and sculptures that celebrate marine ecology.
"All is a Circle within Me" – Emily McIlroy’s work is a meditation on time, spirit, and connection. Both her geometric abstract works using pastel, colored pencil, and acrylic, and her figurative collage work, explore the circle as a symbol of unity across cultures and lifeways.
"Complex Simplicity" – Jan Hoy’s sculptures express form into movement with elegant restraint and abstraction, utilizing clay, steel, or bronze.
