Lopez Film Series: The Frappucino Zone & 4th of July Story Share

On Independence Day, 2005, the Lopez Village was shut down for hours by a suspicious looking “device”…

While hundreds of explosive fireworks were left unattended on the Spit, Lopez police and fire personnel were joined by off-island SWAT teams and bomb sniffing dogs who descended on the friendly isle. Mother and daughter team, Sorrel and Callie North, risked their lives entering the "Frappucino Zone” to capture live footage as the great drama unfolded.

Come and watch the long-overdue premiere public screening on the 20th anniversary of this momentous event. We’ll follow the screening with a story share about that day and other memorable 4th of Julys.

$10 suggested admission, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Popcorn and refreshments available.
