Featured Artist at Orcas Island Artworks

Our October Featured Artist at Orcas Island Artworks is Maria Papademetriou. Exhibited will be multi-media works from her ongoing "Lost Ancestors" series in sculptural mixed media and collage.

In Maria’s own words: 

“My work is a kind of visual storytelling used to create a narrative, mood, or message. My creative process is multilayered and intuitive, using found objects, ceramics, and old photographs.

From a very early age, 4 to be exact, I have been fascinated by the discarded and the forgotten. I strive to give these objects, a new life and a new story."

Maria has been a vibrant staple of the Orcas art world for decades. Now is a perfect time to celebrate her work!

Artworks is open daily from 10am-6pm and located at 11 Point Lawrence Road in Olga.
