WOMEN WHO STARE AT GOATS COLLECTIVE
Women Who Stare at Goats Collective is founded on Talking Horse Ranch, 2.5 miles outside of Friday Harbor. We have access to 120 acres of beautiful pasture and forestland, where our goats are moved around in large paddocks to forage as they please. Simply put, we are a group of women who LOVE goats, who are guardians of a growing artisanal herd on San Juan Island. We offer a variety of activities with our friendly herd. From forage walks and hikes to playful, cuddly goat grams & petting zoos to quiet, reflective therapeutic sessions inside their paddock. We practice animal midwifery as a holistic, intuitive approach to raising animals. This pioneering method is rooted in respect, attunement, and upholding the quality of life for the creatures, that stands as an alternative to conventional, animal husbandry. See it as sanctuary-style practices meet animal raising where the quality of care results in a greater quality in the offerings the animals provide.
